With 6+ years of largely solo game development experience, I have learned a broad skillset consisting of art and design, programming and level design, as well as sound effects and music.
With my area of expertise being 2D games in Unity, I have been developing my indie game over the past year, Remix Mania.

Main Personal Project
Art and Design

I design and animate characters to clearly express movement and to easily import into Unity.

Parallaxing backgrounds and dynamic tilesets bring the world to life. I make sure to design them in a way to give depth to a 2D game and clearly express the gameplay’s intent.

I love to design engaging user interfaces that allow for unique interaction based on player input.
UI that clearly displays player information, while seamlessly moving out of the way when needed.

Game Design and Programming

After 6+ years of programming in Unity, I can quickly prototype new ideas and polish permanent systems.

As a gamer who tries to play as many different genres as possible, I seek to blend exisiting ideas into new, fun, and engaging systems for the player to experience.

The general idea I have going into every new system is to design it in a way to be applied anywhere. The better gameplay systems can interact with eachother, the better the gaming experience is as a whole.
A modular system that allows me to set what effects I want the player to have at any point. The UI also automatically adjusts to display the current “Remixes”
Controls That Feel Great
I make controls that feel and work great on both keyboard and controller, as well as allowing the player to interact with the enviornment in fun ways. Tiles even have unique data to effect the player in different ways.
Dialogue Systems
Here the character portraits change as they talk, text can be animated, and events can be triggered through dialogue. All of this is is developed to be used extensively in any scenario.
Graphic Design
I have experience in many different art programs, specializing in both Adobe Photoshop and Clip Stuidio Paint.
On top of graphic design, I have used many of these programs for animating. Using art programs like Clip Studio or Krita for my art, putting it togther in Adobe Premiere Pro, and utilizing Adobe Audition for audio editing.
University of Texas at Dallas Design Work
I worked for the University of Texas at Dallas as a graphic designer in their recreation center department.
I created posters, social media posts, and shirt designs to be used to promote on campus events.
I spent any time not designing to help run events and take photos for future UTD posts.
